The Morino Institute and Venture Philanthropy Partners asked Community Wealth Ventures, Inc. to survey venture philanthropy efforts around the country to determine how the best practices of venture capital can be applied to funding nonprofit organizations. This report outlines the tate of the venture philanthropy field in 1999 and 2000 and outlines some of the key opportunities and challenges for the field.
