Michael J.A. Smith is a managing director
at Bankers Trust Private Banking, Deutsche Bank Group, where
he leads the Wealth with Responsibility initiative, a comprehensive
program that helps clients address financial and non-financial
issues that affect wealth management. He also serves as a
senior fiduciary officer within the trust department, advising
trust and estate administration specialists and providing
fiduciary sales support. He has earned the Certified Trust
and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from The Institute
of Certified Bankers, and the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP)
designation from the National Association of Estate Planners.
He serves on the planned gifts and bequests advisory committees
of the Archdiocese of New York, Lincoln Center for the Performing
Arts, Calvary Hospital, and the New York City Chapter of the
Anti-Defamation League. He is also a trustee of The HealthCare
Chaplaincy, a multi-faith center for professional pastoral
care, education, and research.
